InterVarsity Florida Alumni Retreat

Join us for a half-day retreat on October 24th in Tampa!

Whether you were an IV student in Florida or involved elsewhere and now call Florida home, you're invited to an afternoon of reflection and refreshment with the sole purpose of giving you space: space to pray and talk with others, to offer perspective and receive encouragement; space to look back and remember where and how God has been at work in your life; and space to look forward, to offer your future days and years to the Lord with renewed hope.

Although we also want to give you the opportunity to reconnect with friends, this is not a "reunion." There is no expectation of bringing your success stories, no pressure to have achieved anything or changed the world since school. We invite you to bring your stories, whatever they may be, believing that God has never stopped working under the surface of your life--for deeper joy and flourishing, to bring goodness and blessing out of pain and suffering. You might be on the other side of trials, full of hindsight wisdom and ready to share your stories of God's faithfulness with others. Or, you might be in the midst of doubts and frustrations, feeling hopeless or distant from God. No matter where you are, you are welcome.

This retreat will take place alongside IV Florida's fall student conference, Nostos, meaning Homecoming or Return in Koine Greek.

When: Saturday, October 24th, 2026, 1:30pm-5pm

Optional: Dining out together 5:30pm-7:15pm (hopefully at La Teresita, a Cuban restaurant)

Joining students for the evening large group worship & talk 7:30pm-9:00pm

Cost: FREE

Other Details:

Drinks and snacks for the afternoon will be provided.
Housing will not be arranged, but there are lots of hotels and Airbnb's in the area, if you'd like to stay the night.
If you are able to come without your kids, that would probably be preferable, in terms of your ability to retreat! However, childcare will be provided by volunteers, free of charge.
If you have a teen or older child who enjoys babysitting and would like to help with childcare, let us know.
Registration will close at 11:59pm on October 17th.
Please bring your spouse, even if he/she was not an IV student, and fill out a separate registration for them.
Spouses/children who were/are not IV students can just put the same school as their alum spouse/parent.
